Starlight
Pools of smooth liquid silver
Under the milky pale light
Of the sweet Maternal Moon
Innuendos of her softness
Her graceful breath in cold air
Her knowing presence enveloping
His sweet baby skin against the backdrop
Of pure white snow shining out
Through his star-colored eyes
And the silent twinkling
Of starlight falling from the sky
And dancing down in a slow ballet
Time is frozen for one winter moment
And within the beating of that tiny heart
Is the warmth and smile of his summer soul
His deep shining eyes marvel upward at
The sight of the familiar starscape, and
Recognition brings a childlike smile
A million tiny lights gaze back
with the Love that only stars can hold,
And their glittering tears fall over him
Filling his eyes with the patterns
Of a million twinkling stars at night
And a light that will lead him to his Destiny
