About the series:

"During a trip to New Orleans I came across these postcards in a gift shop. I was looking for something to take notes on, but all they had were cards, so I bought several. I never ended up taking any notes though.

Later when I came across them again, I got the idea to make a story out of the pictures. Immediately I saw the story become my own. I just laid them out and started writing. I only created one part of the story at a time, and then I would wait a few days or weeks to write and color the next one. I guess I'd call it a sort of poetic biography. The fifth card is actually still laying in a box, waiting to happen." -Rachael
